Welcome To The Website Of The Volunteer Development Poverty Children School

The School is run by a Mr. Togh and Shally.Their main objective is to create a school for children who are unable to afford to pay for their education. The school is funded entirely by charitable donations and all the teachers are volunteers. These pay for the electricity used by the fans and lights in each classroom and the basic teaching equipment that is so often used. The school has four classrooms made mostly from banana leaves. It was built by February 2006 after work started in December 2005. It was mainly built by eight volunteers the majority of whom were monks. The playground is about the same size as half a football pitch where children can play games. Due to having no school transport system it is also used as a place to park their bicycles which is their main transport source at the present time. The hope for the future of the school is to create more stable buildings as well as a library for children to study. Also a bike shed so the children can have more room to play.
